Texting While Driving Worse Than Drunk Driving
I came across this article on texting while driving in Car and Driver, a magazine our family has subscribed to for nearly two decades. It was an interesting article with even more interesting conclusions, and as with most of their recent pieces, they said to check out the video version online. Here’s what they posted.
I’ll be the first to admit that I text while driving. Sometimes a lot. But this definitely is making me rethink the practice. How about you?

I think this test is a bit skewed. The drivers they got aren’t from the generation that grew up in a generation of multitasking (mainly the video game generation). We’re more equipped to do 2 things at once than the previous generation. We can listen to a lecture and browse the internet at the same time. The generation before us can’t do that.
They should’ve gotten younger constituents, I think they would’ve found it not to be worse or might have been not as bad.

@Faiez. The 22 year old “web intern” with an iPhone not from our generation? Right.
It’s interesting. Both drivers considered themselves to be “seasoned” texters, as most of the people who had doubts about this article also claim to be.
