So here I am in a computer lab at DePaul University Lincoln Park campus. It’s Sunday, the weather is May-fabulous, and I apparently have two big exams coming up both tomorrow and the day after.
It is the Sunnah of mankind that during studying for midterms/finals, they find the most amazing things or have the most profound realizations, or feel the need to do things you never felt the need to do before. Why is that? Is it just our minds trying to get away from the dreadfulness of studying? Could be.
In any case, since I’m supposed to be studying and, well, I don’t want to, I’ll instead write a tribute to Mr. Ather Ali who is leaving tomorrow to the Carribean for some sort of graduate studies that people do over there.

The cake they got him at his going away party
He may actually be going to train in Japan and come back to strike fear into Gotham criminal’s minds or something like that, but experts are holding that to be “highly unlikely.”
All the success to Athorious. May Allah (swt) make things easy for him and have them serve as means to Jannah for him and his family. That includes you, too, Jibs. And Aamair Tajuddin since you are all supposedly related or something like that. Crazy Hydros.

May Allah make everything he encounters easy for him.

You left in a jiffy split without us even realizing it until you stepped foot into Jinnah Medical College! Me and Azhar were talking about how time has flied since, though; and iA you’ll be back in just a few more years…

Inshallah, I hope your finals go well for you. It’s hard getting myself to study and nearly impossible for me to focus on writing my thesis. But somehow I still find time to blog.
If you could add my new URL, asad123.wordpress.com, to your blogroll, I would feel honored.
